Many guests are thinking ahead to next summer. It’s great to get in early and have your choice of accommodation.  We have some beautiful accommodation just right for families or friends to enjoy a relaxing holiday.

May has seen a balmy second summer with lucky guests having the whole beach to themselves..fishing and playing in the water.

Now the season has finally broken and things are starting to green up on the farms..at last.

Extended families, often 3 generations, as well as couples have been visiting A Ski View this month. It is the perfect place for a family get together or just    a great spot to enjoy the beautiful views, space, privacy and serenity.

April has been busy at A Ski View, with our many guests enjoying beautiful autumn weather of sunny days and cool nights.. perfect for long walks, fishing, dining out and shopping.

Some people have spent their entire holiday relaxing on the deck and in the sunny living areas of A Ski View reading and just recharging.

The last of this season’s lobster catch are still to be enjoyed on the deck!

Where can this be? Paradise… in Little Dip Conservation Park at Robe.

 March has been sooo good on the beach. So warm, calm, and pristine. This shot of Little Dip is unspoilt paradise! Wow! It’s on our doorstep.

What we love about March:

*Brilliant weather, no crowds.

*Farmers markets, organic produce swaps.

*Boating, skiing, surfing, beaching, kayaking, chilling out….

The weather has been amazing.. warm and sunny with a light sea breeze. We are back to ‘Robe Time’ now after the busy Christmas holidays.

The surf is great at 3rd Ramp.

Here at 2nd ramp, it was this glassy aqua sea that enticed me in for a swim. It was the perfect place to relax and chill out over the summer heat waves.

Is anyone left in the city? or are you all here on the beach. So much fun.

“So Long and Thanks For all the Fish” . This 6′ x 4 ‘ oil painting is now showing in the Robe Providore . Have you read the last in the series of  “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”..the most widely read book in the world? If so you will realise the significance of the title and the boat DA 42.. ..hmm.

Escape to the Cape. Cape Jaffa Seafood and Wine Festival. Catch the bus to Cape Jaffa from the VIC in Robe for $10 return. Jazz, wine, food..lots of seafood, BBQs, local produce, kid’s entertainment, sandcastle competition, A GREAT DAY OUT AND VERY LAID BACK AT BEAUTIFUL CAPE JAFFA.

JAN. 19th and 20th:

Great Southern Ocean Boat and Fishing Show. Robe Marina:  Wineries, bar, food, exhibitors, Grand parade of boats, Kayak racing, Stand up paddle board race, Kite Surf demos, Best of the Sea Feast..set price lunch, Dine on Board with the fishermen crayfish dinner Friday night (Ph. 0428622975 to book), fish filleting demos, professional fishing boat demos. DECEMBER 1st, THIS WEEKEND:

The 2012/2013 Navy Australian Surf Rowers series is on at Robe.

“The Navy series will be fast and furious, running at Robe’s Long Beach from 10am Saturday with finals at 2pm, and from 9am Sunday with finals at noon. ..With a reasonable size surf expected this weekend and sunny weather, thrills and spills are expected. Great viewing will be available from the beach with parking close by. ” Coastal Leader newspaper, November 28th 2012.

There will be over 30 crews competing again this year from 12 surf lifesaving clubs across S.A.

Wilson At Robe Art Gallery:   Summer Exhibition now open.

Works by Jessie Ellery feature large oils of the Robe coast, and pastels of the coastal life of the area.
